Description

A zesty and creamy sauce that enhances chicken dishes with bright lemon flavor and rich creaminess.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 Shallot (finely chopped)
  • 1 Lemon (juice, freshly squeezed)
  • ½ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup White Wine
  • 1 tablespoon Capers
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons Basil (fresh, for garnish)
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped shallot to the pan. Sauté until they become soft and fragrant.
  3. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the pan, and stir in the crushed red pepper.
  4. Pour in the white wine, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Add the capers and heavy cream, stirring to combine well.
  6. Reduce the heat and add the butter, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  7. Let the sauce simmer for a few more minutes until thickened.
  8. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Adjust crushed red pepper based on your heat preference.
