Description

A delicious and healthy banana bread made without added sugar, using ripe bananas and unsweetened applesauce for natural sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in the applesauce, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  4. Combine the almond flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and blend until combined. If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool before slicing and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with nut butter, yogurt, or cream cheese. Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
