  2. Cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed in before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the buttermilk.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
