Scale
- 8 oz pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank steak)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili paste or sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions

Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

- Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and chili paste. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine the cooked pasta into the skillet with the sauce and toss to coat.
- Add the sliced steak and mix well.
- Serve topped with chopped green onions and optional red pepper flakes.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the steak in soy sauce and chili paste for an hour before cooking. Can substitute steak with chicken or shrimp.
