Description

A comforting and cheesy casserole featuring chicken breasts topped with Swiss cheese and herb stuffing, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 package herb stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the Swiss cheese sliced over the chicken.
  4. Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour it over the chicken and cheese.
  5. Mix the herb stuffing with the melted butter in a bowl.
  6. Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This casserole can also be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
