Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef (or shrimp for a seafood option)
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce (or a mix of brown sugar and soy sauce)
- 1 cup Shredded Carrots (or other crunchy vegetables)

- 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves (or mint for a different flavor)
- 10 sheets Rice Paper Wrappers
Instructions
- Cook the lean ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Drain any excess fat, then stir in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the shredded carrots, chopped bell peppers, and fresh basil leaves. Mix well.
- Prepare a shallow dish with warm water and dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until softened.
- Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface, add a few spoonfuls of the beef mixture, and fold the sides over the filling.
- Roll tightly from the bottom up and repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Notes
Make sure to use warm water when soaking the rice paper for easier handling. A squeeze of lime juice adds a refreshing zest.
