Description

A nostalgic dessert packed with tropical flavors and a sweet, gooey texture that is easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix the drained crushed pineapple, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in the cake mix until just combined.
  4. Toss in the coconut flakes and half of the brown sugar.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for a week.
