Description

A tasty, low-carb twist on a classic sandwich using lettuce instead of bread, fresh ingredients, and customizable toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound turkey breast, sliced
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 head of romaine or butter lettuce
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a healthier option)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnishes: diced onions, cucumbers, or jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey breast until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let it cool, then slice it.
  2. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, choosing the outer leaves that are strong enough.
  3. Spread a little mayonnaise on each lettuce leaf.
  4. Add slices of turkey, avocado, diced tomato, and optional shredded cheese.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and any other garnishes like diced onions or jalapeños.
  6. Roll up the lettuce leaf to create your wrap.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best taste. Ideal for picnics or casual meals. Can be paired with a side salad or fresh fruit.
