Description
Delicious crispy churros with a soft center, perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball forms.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Place the batter into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove churros from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; roll churros in the mixture while still warm.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Churros are best served warm, ideally right after being rolled in cinnamon sugar.
