Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil or beef drippings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour and salt in a bowl.
  3. Combine the milk and eggs in another bowl, then beat until well mixed.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour about 1 tablespoon of oil or drippings into each compartment of a muffin tin.
  6. Place the muffin tin in the oven for about 5 minutes, until the oil is hot.
  7. Carefully pour the batter into the muffin tin, filling each compartment about halfway.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the puddings are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately with roast beef and gravy.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot before adding the batter for best results.
