Description

A savory Chicken Marsala dish featuring tender chicken breasts and mushrooms in a rich Marsala wine sauce, perfect for any dinner occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 lbs chicken breast
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz brown button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 cup dry marsala wine
  • 3/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half and pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the same pan and sauté until golden brown. Add onion powder and garlic.
  4. Pour in marsala wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any bits stuck at the bottom. Add chicken stock and cream, stirring well.
  5. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan, coating it with the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a good quality dry Marsala wine. Adjust cream according to taste.
