- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 can (12 oz) tuna, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, peas, milk, and cheese (if using). Mix well.
- Stir in the cooked noodles and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding diced onions or garlic. You can use different types of pasta or substitute tuna with shredded chicken.
