- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
- Add heavy cream to the same skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in mozzarella cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked pasta and sliced chicken with the sauce, tossing to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian herbs or lemon juice before cooking. Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture.
