Description
This Creamy Steak Pasta blends savory flavors and rich textures, featuring tender steak, creamy sauce, and al dente pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces fettuccine or tagliatelle (cooked until al dente)
- 1 pound flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing the steak)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (more if desired)
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine or tagliatelle and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and juicy. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to blend. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer to thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Toss in baby spinach and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the spinach wilts but stays vibrant.
- Return seared steak strips to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce to coat evenly. Taste and add more salt and pepper if desired.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, gently tossing everything together until well combined and the fettuccine is coated in the sauce.
- Dish out the Creamy Steak Pasta into bowls and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, serve with a side salad or crusty bread. A glass of red wine pairs beautifully with this dish.
