Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for Garlic Butter Cod that combines healthy ingredients and delightful taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets Cod (or haddock/tilapia)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Lemon Wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot, place the cod fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
  3. Carefully flip the fillets and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. While the cod is cooking, melt the butter in a separate pan over low heat.
  5. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  6. Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper into the garlic butter.
  7. Once the cod is cooked through, drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the fillets.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Serve the cod hot, garnished with fresh parsley. Pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
