- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
- Stir in the rice and Italian seasoning, then pour in the chicken broth.
- Bring to a simmer and cover, cooking until the rice is tender.
- Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional minute.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for best flavor; frozen shrimp can also work if thawed. Add red pepper flakes for spice.
