Description

A delicious and easy dish featuring shrimp, creamy rice, and garlic, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
  5. Stir in the rice and Italian seasoning, then pour in the chicken broth.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cover, cooking until the rice is tender.
  7. Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional minute.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for best flavor; frozen shrimp can also work if thawed. Add red pepper flakes for spice.
