- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions; drain.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Combine the cooked noodles, ground beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and heated through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, serve with ketchup or hot sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
