- 18 asparagus spears, trimmed
- 9 bacon slices
- 3 tbsp butter
- 0.75 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 0.25 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, reduced until thick
Instructions
- Trim the woody ends from the asparagus by bending each until it snaps at the tender point.
- Pat the asparagus dry with paper towels.
- Combine the salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Toss the asparagus with half of the seasoning blend.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the asparagus into 9 bundles of 3 spears each.
- Wrap one bacon slice around each bundle, seam-side down.
- Dot each bundle with about 1 teaspoon of butter.
- Sprinkle the remaining seasoning blend over the bundles.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking around 18 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with reduced balsamic vinegar.
Notes
Use fresh asparagus for the best flavor. Adjust seasoning to your preference; try different types of bacon for variety.
