Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • Enough water to cover ingredients
  • Cornbread (for serving)
  • Collard greens (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Clean the pig feet thoroughly under running water. Cut into pieces if large.
  2. Combine the pig feet, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, vinegar, and enough water to cover the ingredients in a large pot.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 120-180 minutes until the pig feet are tender.
  5. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve hot with cornbread and collard greens.
