Description

A delicious fusion of smash burgers and grilled cheese, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 small Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Smashburger Sauce
  • 8 slices Hearty White Bread
  • 8 slices American Cheese
  • 2 cups Havarti Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/3 cup Sliced Dill Pickle Chips
  • 2 tbsp Salted Butter
  • Kosher Salt (to taste)
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Start by heating a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Take the ground beef and form it into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Once the skillet is hot, place the beef balls in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula. Season with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper.
  4. Add the thinly sliced onions on top of the burgers while they cook.
  5. Cook the burgers for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip them and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of American cheese to each burger and cover the skillet to help melt the cheese.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, butter one side of each slice of hearty white bread.
  8. Once the cheese has melted, carefully remove the burgers from the skillet.
  9. In the same skillet, place a slice of buttered bread, then add a layer of Havarti cheese, followed by a burger, the Smashburger sauce, and dill pickle chips. Top it with another slice of buttered bread.
  10. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping once to cook both sides.

Notes

Use high-quality ground beef for better flavor and texture. Experiment with different cheeses and toppings.
