Description

A delightful twist on classic stroganoff, featuring tender blackened shrimp in a creamy sauce over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the shrimp with the Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet. Add the shrimp and cook until blackened and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the onion to the same skillet and sauté until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Add the broth and bring to a simmer, then stir in the heavy cream. Cook until slightly thickened.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and add to the sauce.
  6. Add the blackened shrimp back into the skillet. Toss everything together and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference. For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
