Description

A delightful cake that combines rich chocolate with fresh strawberries and features a gooey cream cheese center resembling an ‘earthquake.’ Perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of strawberries, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Blend the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  6. Layer the chopped strawberries, shredded coconut, and nuts on top, then pour the remaining batter over everything.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
