Description

A delicious dessert that combines the sweet flavor of strawberries with a moist cake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of moist cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water (for glaze)
  • Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to cake mix instructions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, and 1 cup of water in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake as directed on the cake mix box.
  4. Prepare the strawberry glaze while the cake is baking. In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and 1/2 cup of water. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring frequently.
  5. Let the cake cool for a few minutes then poke holes in it using a fork. Pour the strawberry glaze over the cake, letting it soak in.
  6. Serve slices with whipped cream on top.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh, ripe strawberries. Allow the cake to cool before adding the glaze for better soaking.
